The real-estate industry in Mexico has significantly grown, nationally, direct and indirect foreign investment has become of great importance. The legal framework in this area is complex, since it involves numerous federal, state and municipal laws, in regulating Mexico’s different types of ownership regimes, namely, ejido land, national land, small property land and private property land. Additionally, a real-estate development project may need for its operation different federal, state or municipal entitlements and authorizations.
